I recently wrote a post about choosing your bridal party (you can catch up on here if you missed it) so I decided to write a little follow up post. Once you have decided on which girls you want by your side on your wedding morning, the fun part is asking them! Your bridesmaids will be your go to girls when you are stressed or need advice, and also involved in planning your hen and getting ready with you so it is a bit of a commitment of their time, so asking rather than presuming is both sensible and polite. A lovely bridesmaid gift or card is also is a great way to get your closest girl friends excited for your big day, as well as celebrating your friendship.
Looking for bridesmaid invites was my first wedding task after planning the engagement party so I was like a giddy school girl. It was so hard not to just blurt it out in person and ask them but I knew it would be so much more special for them to receive a surprise parcel in the post. It was a lovely way to get excited for all the wedding planning ahead. I opted for bridesmaid gift boxes and cards, and the same for my Maid of honour. I was able to personalise the cards with photos of us together and write a personal message inside. Each box included gifts that were personalised with their initials and their title as bridesmaid or maid of honour. I posted the boxes and cards in padded envelopes which I filled with wedding confetti and wrapped the boxes in wrapping tissue for an element of surprise when they opened the parcel.
I found my cards and gift boxes on www.notonthehighstreet.com so I have chosen a few of my favourite bridal party invitation gift ideas to share with you for some inspiration. It is an easy one stop shop with lots of wedding party gift ideas. Any bride to be would find loads of options without having to spend lots of time searching. I found when I was looking for ideas, they had so many different options that I never would have even thought of, all for reasonable prices. I also suggested to Nemanja he have a look for some invites for his groomsmen and best man and he found amazing engraved whisky tumblers. Depending on your budget and size of your bridal party you can go from a thoughtful card to champagne and personalised gifts, so there is something to suit everyone.
There are milions of cards to choose from but this ‘Will you be my bridesmaid?’ leaf motif card is so classic. A personal message in a card can be one of the most beautiful gifts and shouldn’t be underestimated. It is a fantastic way to let your bridesmaid know how much their friendship means to you, so whether that is recounting a funny memory together, or telling them why they are so important to you, the words in a simple card can mean more than any expensive present.
I have yet to meet a woman that doesn’t appreciate chocolates! What a sweet way to present your all important question, than with something they can enjoy later, or if your lucky they might share.
This next option is for the bride that is pulling out all the stops for their bridal party. A beautiful tote bag filled with loads of treats will definitely impress and get everyone in the celebratory mood. Your bridal party will be there for you over the coming months so they deserve some pampering too! If your budget allows it then why not splash out on this personalised gift bag.
If you and your girls love to have a glass of Prosecco together, what better way to ask them to be part of your bridal party than with these personalised Champagne flutes like. You can customise the message to include whatever you like, things like your wedding date, their bridesmaid title or name, or even a cute nickname will make it a gorgeous keep sake that will act as a reminder of your big day long after its past.
Whatever you choose, your bridal party will really love the surprise of an official invitation to be involved in your wedding.
